




Kuih Kaya is also name as 'Kar Tak Kuih' which means using our foot to step on the Kuih. Those were the traditional way to compress the loose glutinous rice into compact Kuih Kaya.
We at Fook Tseng no longer used that technique to make Kuih Kaya although we adopt the original recipes of making Kuih Kaya.
Kuih Kaya is made from premium grade Glutinous Rice steamed to perfection and shower generously with coconut milk to bring up the kuih aroma. It is then set aside and moulded in wooden mould then compressed with weights.
Kuih Kaya is served with of course Kaya. We make our own kaya with all natural ingredient without using preservatives or any additives. This is what makes our Kuih Kaya so special.
